During our stay, the shower and bathroom were poorly maintained, with sliding doors that did not function properly. Every shower left a mess due to poor design, and it seemed the hotel's commitment to sustainability was questionable. To top it off, we were surprised to find no bathtub in our room, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.

Waking up to a view of the shimmering lake and indulging in a delightful breakfast spread truly made our stay memorable. The staff's personalized service made us feel special every moment.

Unfortunately, the location was a bit farther from downtown attractions than expected, requiring a 30-minute taxi ride or lengthy walk for sightseeing.

It was just a top selection for a flash stay in Hamburg with great value. The breakfast was good, but the service was quite slow. Consider using a taxi to reach downtown Hamburg faster.

I stayed for 2 nights in a Deluxe Double Room with a Partial Lake View, and I must say, the panoramic views were breathtaking! The warm, welcoming staff elevated the experience significantly, especially during breakfast, where the variety of organic juices was impressive. However, I found the room slightly small for my liking, which detracted from the otherwise luxurious stay.

The stay at The Fontenay Hamburg was absolutely delightful. The room had a cozy corner with a lovely armchair that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The serene location by the Alster allowed for peaceful evening strolls. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, making our experience even better. The breakfast buffet was well-arranged and offered a variety of delicious options that started our day off right.
